The Well
Well done.
The interiors of The Well were carefully and thoughtfully designed by Rose Ink Workshop in collaboration with the founders.
The spaces have been created to inspire community, connectivity, consciousness and imagination. The lighting is meant to feel ethereal and calming.
All millwork shelving was detailed to conceal soft warm LED strips to accentuate the curved architecture and to highlight the merchandise.
The selenite sanctuary is illuminated by a soft LED light strip concealed behind the banquettes. The detail highlights the textured wall surfaces and Venetian plaster ceiling and compliments the sculptural sconces.
The mindful movement studio features a full wall seamless backlit mirror. Minimal track mounted accent lights highlight the perimeter while a previously covered window was restored to bring in natural light.
The stair handrail was custom designed to incorporate a soft wash, so the sculptural stair is bathed in light as it curves.
The meditation zone was inspired by works of James Turrell. The fabric wrapped paneled walls incorporate a warm indirect up-light that washes the ceiling. A mock oculus was designed with color tunable white light to bring in circadian rhythm therapy.
The locker rooms are layered with indirect lighting, decorative sconces and hidden lighting beneath counters and floating surfaces.
The steam room is a sculpture, meant to feel carved from a piece of stone. A single trailing curved light pocket washes the vertical surfaces.
A moment of whimsy and color appears in the corridors adjacent to the consultation rooms. Dichroic glass walls glow from the interior lighting, creating a chromatic lantern.
